Default What Did I Get Myself?

I hope you all are well. Many of you were kind enough recently to answer questions for me while I was researching in my efforts to locate / purchase a C3. I posted a short update recently how I went to look at a car, and ended up buying a different one. I got it today, took some photos, and wanted to post some info. so I could get some feedback from those who have a wealth of knowledge. I'm not terribly concerned about the answers honestly; just curious to know what I have for sure. I've tried to post a variety of pics to illustrate and help cover topics / questions, such as:

- Curious how legit of a numbers matching car it is.

- Curious whether those with a trained eye see anything particular positive or negative (perhaps I should watch for / get addressed)

- Tires - I basically expected to put tires on the car, and my understanding is these tires were produced in 2005, so they should realistically be replaced asap.

- I did run into one issue today - the key will not unlock either door - so I can't lock the car; I live in an urban location, and will need to get this addressed. I checked with the seller, and she doesn't recall every locking the car - she garaged it with her 7 other corvettes and only drove it to shows;

Default additional info / pics

Forgot to post some documentation I also got with the car; came with 3 ring binder of paperwork.

- First document is an appraisal done on the car in 2013 for a prior owner.

- 2nd document is a "dealer sheet" price list

Nice find. You might want to check the tire pressures, they look low in the pics - could just be the angle, but worth checking.

Just a quick look

Like all your stamps for the Engine still has broach marks, Transmission and Rear End. Many interior items look to be original

Issues
1. Carburetor date is 171 day of 1972
2. Alternator date of 7?15 is not normal and lock bolt not typical
3. Water pump later design
4. Radiator hose clamps should be Sure-Tite worm style
5. Can't see if the radiator has the square and rectangular holes on both sides of the top support bar.
6. Air Cleaner cover, valve covers and ignition shielding all service aftermarket
7. Master cylinder and cover service
8. Trim tag appears to have been removed and reinstalled also at this production time no blue certification label did not appear till 1 Sept. 1969
9. Under body and frame what we call "Rattle Can Black Paint Man" gone mad
10. Rear spare tire tube damaged and repaired
11. Stance is a bit high
12. Heater hose did not have the GM stamped on them
13. Wiper door actuator finish not typical
14. Sway bar front bolts service type to "A" arms
15. Radiator cap "?" need better photo

The “dealer sheet price list” is a reproduction window sticker.

PJO makes some good points.
Why are you buying a 1969 Corvette Convertible ?
https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...t-Corvette.pdf
There is an App called Corvette DNA that is quite useful. But you really have to look these 50 year old cars over very well as many things that are very costly can be covered up.
Anyone check the bird cage/( foot well air vent area for rust) or Window frame, Body mounts ? Any indication of body work ?
$ 35--40 is a lot of money, any chance you can take it to a shop and put it up on a lift ?
If you have already bought this enjoy and good luck.
Just my 2 cents.

Well you didn't post the VIN tag but the previous valuation docs say the engine and VIN stamps match so big + there and tranny dates to period original so you've covered the big 3.
It's a convertible, with the top down everyone has access, with the top up, everyone with a pen knife has access. Easy enough to get new or rekey the locks
