Is mounting hardware, and the center pieces that go above and under the actual spring available through any vendors, or has anyone used any alternate components to replace cracked top and bottom pieces?
I would contact Van Steel. They bought the molds from VB when they went out of business. They are currently behind in making the springs but should have the hardware and cushions for them.
I made my own cushions from stuff I found in neighbor's junk. Rubber matting for toolbox drawers. It has fiberglass reinforcing fibers in it, creating a strong and flexible protection.
Ya don't really need anything specific or special.
(I made the aluminum spacers also from scrap stuff)
