Correct power antenna nut

I installed a new power antenna from Corvette Central for my 82. This reproduction antenna came with a new nut but I used a nut that I grabbed from a GM car at the pick and pull thinking it's correct. But I'm not sure. The GM nut is flat on top where the reproduction one is round on the top.

Flat like the one you have installed. Here is the one off my factory installed power antenna on my 81.

Thank you. I figured the flat was the correct but I wasn't sure.

Just bought a 81,and the power antenna doesn’t budge,so wondering how do you get to the antenna,I see it’s on the quarter,but my arms are no where long enough to reach the under side of it.I haven’t taken the rear tire off yet,so is there some way to reach it then or not. Thanks

Removing the tire won't give you access to the antenna. It's tight but I was able to get my arm up in there with the stock muffler.
