I drove my car yesterday Mourning about 30 minutes,trying to figure why it’s idling so high,which I never did get to calm down,but had no problem with it shifting 3 gears,drove back home and mess with the carburetor and finally got the idle down,I just replaced the plugs a few days earlier,and just wanted to check one and look at it,so the easiest one is on the passenger side,so was taking it out and accidentally hit the starter and shorted the wire out,and burnt it into,so fixed the wire back and cranked it up took it down the road,and then it want shift into 2nd,so took back home,so any possibilities did I perhaps short something else to prevent the transmission from shifting.
