From the pictures you can tell, it needs work. I think before I (or anyone else for that fact) could make an honest assessment of the car, the car would have to be inspected in person. You just can't realistically make a logical judgement call from a CL ad.

I will say this much though, with buying from the Humane Society, you know the money you pay will go to a worthy cause.

I think that would make a great restomod. Modern drivetrain, suspension, brakes, black with a red interior.

Looks to be a good project if you have the time and skills. AZ car means no RUST, thats a big plus.
Price is right, you could sell it and get your money back.

The rear hatch is worth close to half of the asking price. Here is some inspiration:

that was a donated car. guy got old. couldn't keep it up. but he kept it inside. i think at 5k these days, you buy first and ask questions later.

Rough!!!! For paint and interior, plus the cost of the car would EXCEED the value of the car. My opinion it isn't worth it

Just so our poster can learn;
ALWAYS start with the value of a good running complete decent car....so for a CE it's at about $25k
THEN REMOVE the remediation;
Paint+ stripes= $13,000
Interior CE specific one year, one edition= $5000
130k mile suspension re-work $2000
Engine has 130k on it= $3000
Rebuild Tranny= $2500
Rebuild rear end= $1500
Tires and etc = $1000
Cost of car= $5000

Resultant= You have $33,000 into a car worth $25k and you spend 600 hours of your own time for free.

Like I said...PARTS CAR!
