Looking for some help in finding what was mounted on top of the Ignition Cover in my 1971 LS5. There are four holes (see photo), perhaps for rivets in corners of a label plate, or, similar.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
And your missing the side covers, the 4 way rubber grommets that the wires pass through. Not in front of the mounting brackets like you have them. Perhaps you need a A.I.M.
Thanks 4-Vette and Mooser that makes sense. I can see the benefit of the plastic shield (insulator) above the ignition wires and also where the grommet sits. Not sure I want to squeeze the wires together through that hole, but realise that's original.
I do have AIM and many other books so realised I was not looking at missing side shields like sbc. Thanks everyone for your help.
