Default Carpet Dye

So I screwed up. I wanted to clean my carpet on my 82, used the armor-all carpet and upholstery cleaner, followed instructions, scrubbed the hell out of it, and on day 1 it looked good. Now, a week later, my green carpet has become a beige. Idk what faded it, maybe the UV light combined with the cleaning solution? Regardless, I cant stand thiis carpet like this, so does anyone have any experience with dying or recoloring corvette carpet? What's the steps? Thanks

Also, mine is the silver green interior. How do I got about finding the correct color dye for it?

Polyester, nylon, acrylic, and other synthetic fibers — all of which are forms of plastic

Thanks. I guess I was just assuming that it’s meant for hard surfaces only. Have you used this before?

I've used SEM products on carpet with good results.
https://manage.semproducts.com/publi...color_coat.pdf

CARPET AND VELOUR: Spray one light coat and immediately brush in all directions using a nylon bristle brush. Apply a second light coat and brush again. After surface has completely dried, brush again to loosen fibers. Use Color Coat sparingly on carpet and velour so as not to change the texture or feel of the surface being sprayed. Color Coat is recommended only to enhance the color of carpet and velour, not to drastically change its color. Colors may vary slightly depending on the number of coats applied as well as the type of substrate and texture to which they are applied. Note: Dabbing the paint will not accurately reflect its color. True color is only achieved by spraying.

Should a different sheen be desired, Color Coat offers three companion clears. These include High Gloss Clear for the “wet look”, Satin Gloss Clear for “medium sheen” and Low Luster Clear for interior instrument panels. Usually two medium wet coats are sufficient. Low Luster Clear is not recommended for exterior exposure. Due to VOC regulations, the low VOC versions of High Gloss Clear and Low Luster Clear cannot be used as top coat clears in California, but only to modify the gloss of intermix formulas. Satin Gloss Clear is not available in a low VOC version.

Are you sure you got all of the detergent out of the carpet? Does it feel a little crunchy? Detergent is a dirt magnet. I would try misting it heavily with clear warm water and then sucking it dry with a HD shop vac. Se if there is an improvement after it drys and if better and it turns brown again repeat.
