CFI 82 run engine without air pump?
Hello all, 82 CFI owner. Made a thread here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1604855724 regarding coolant leak. I have removed the air compressor and air pump, and I wanna run the engine now to visually determine source of coolant leak. Can I run this engine at idle for like 5-10 max minutes with air pump off?

If the original air pump tubing and hoses are still there I believe there is a check valve which prevents exhaust coming out when the pump is disconnected. It wouldn't hurt to start the engine and see what happens.

Thanks. Should I still block the vac lines and hoses anyway, or leave em open?
