Greetings all!
I just bought a 1978 C3 and I need to adjust the carburetor and timing, any recommendations on a shop around Niles IL or if an individual that would be able to work on it?

From reading dozens of posts over the years, its apparent that very few auto shops have the know-how to work on these antiques.
If the vehicle does not have a diagnostic port to plug in a scanner, those young mechanics are lost about carbs & distributors.
If you are going to own a Vette, you need to learn how to do these basic tune-ups. Either grasp the simple repair logic from books or better yet, check out vids on YouTube.
These cars are old enough that simple (non-metric) hand tools, are all you need plus a vacuum gauge, timing light.
Why pay someone $75 an hr when you can do this yourself?
And take pride in doing it yourself.
