Looks like a good purchase. I have something like this I got from Fastenal years ago ...for a couple bucks, that is a good thread-pitch guide. Probably not as definitive as yours, but I've used it a lot over the years (that and a thread/pitch finger-gauge or line up against a tap or die):
Nice, but kinda clumsy. I've reached the point in my old age, even with these eyes, I can pretty much identify most any bolt by sight. Might make a nice gift though, "here honey, here's a necklace I got you for our anniversary" let's see, 49 years, that's zinc anodized, right?
I skimp on a lot of stuff, and have plenty of Chinese tools, but I don't skimp on taps. I only use quality taps and use the correct numbered drill for each. I've had enough broken taps in my life to ruin many a day.
