Interior Questions 1981
My first question is about the Tach and Speedo housings. I'm more of a fan of the earlier 70's style where they're both in what looks to be two separate pieces that come up only way I know to describe it.
Interior almost like this picture is my goal.
Maybe a little darker wood trim as my car is currently blue, and a dark candy metallic red may be in the future.
But I like that style dash more so then the 81's currently tach and speedo part, So does anyone make something to redo that, or maybe the whole dash?
2nd Question.
Is the door panels, the deluxe door panels with the trim in them like the picture. I'm not aware of any for an '81 but y'all's collective knowledge definitely surpasses mine on where i can buy things like that.
3rd Question.
Does anyone make seats like that or know where a good quality seat cover i could buy is with that color scheme?
4th Question.
What is that center console and how can I get one for myself because that looks great and would give my right arm something to rest on.
Last question.
Who's do y'all recommend for these interior pieces? I'm sure there will be some extremely biased answers but I welcome them none the less!
Thanks in advance!

Answer 1: It is possible to completely swap the interior (there are several threads on here), but really go sit in one before you do. Even easier, the individual gauges can be done with the existing cluster. The plastic is easy to cut (in the dash and center console), and many on this Forum have done this. In a recent post, @trans am kev showed what he did.

Answer 2: No idea, wood trim is not my thing.
Answer 3: Outside of a custom shop (like MrMikes, who does Fiero and Miata seat covers), there are two places that make interiors for our cars. Corvette America (CA, now part of Top Flite Automotive) and Al Knoch. All of the vendors sell stuff from one or the other, or both. CA will custom make covers if you ask, I'm sure Al Knoch does, too. You already have carpet, but only Al Knoch and ACC seem to make carpet for our cars.
Answer 4: Here's a link to the center console cushion, and a photo of it in my 79 (with CA seat covers, including custom embroidery).

Bonus photo: If you think any early C3 interior looks better than this, we'll have to agree to disagree on taste. Not my car, unfortunately.

3. Seat covers are kind of iffy for me depending on the quality as I don’t want many wrinkles coming from one but I won’t say no to them all because there are some good ones out there.
4. That would be perfect I’ll see if they can do the 2 colors
Bonus: That interior does look great. White and black was my first choice but I feel like the white would be a nightmare to keep clean.

'76 was the last year for wood trim. This is factory...
