We bought a new torque converter cover since the original was missing. However it cannot be installed since the exhaust pipes crosses over to the passenger side and is right in the way. Was this the way/place the driver's side originally crosses over to the passenger side? Right in the way of the torque converter cover?
The exhaust system is fairly new.
Thanks for your help.

I thought it crossed over into the Y under the tailshaft, but in front of the transmission crossmember. Does yours cross over between the engine and transmission? Can you post a photo?
Put in a true-dual exhaust, (or sidepipes) and you'll have plenty of room to add a clutch pedal and a manual transmission a torque converter cover.
Thanks! Awesome picture that tells EXACTLY where it is supposed to go! Jeez, mine is no where near where it needs to be, it is right there at the torque converter. We'd have to disconnect the exhaust system to get the torque converter on. I don't like the idea of it being there by the transmission pan now that I realize what is going on.
I do plan to go straight dual exhaust but right now the focus is on stopping all the leaks with new gaskets and new bushings on the front end.
