Shift RPM's?
Hello, 1982 owner. My transmission (stock) always up-shifts between 2000-2500 rpm. it shifts at about 2500 rpm when im heavy on the throttle, and about 1900-2000 rpm when light on the throttle. Ignoring the TCC lockup, is this ok?

I have not. Problem is I dont know what benchmark I am adjusting to. I've tried searching for a procedure, but I cant find a consistent one for a 82. Also I cant find it in the factory manual, if its there. Do you know how to adjust it?

try full throttle and see what it does. you don't need to do a launch, just get on it hard at about 25 or so. should drop to second and once you get up around 4k start lifting and it should shift into 3rd. it sounds like you drive it so gently you are telling it to shift when it does. and that is fine too. but if it is shifting that way because it is being driven that way, nothing is wrong.
