Add the oil while you had connections apart, not difficult to remove again at least the ones you can get at. Use new o rings and lube. Move compressor by hand to make sure oil does not lock it up before running and not adding all oil in it. While compressor off assume you emptied oil and cycled new oil if different (mineral oil r12) a few times.
i like vacuum overnight or compressed air 100psi then vacuum to check for leaks. If leaking compressed air allows bubble detection.

There are oil charge cans that are charged with 134a and 1 oz of oil. If you still need all 6 ozs of oil then yes open it up and put oil in. You will have to vacuum it down again after opening it up to get water vapor out.
If you put a lot of the oil in the compressor I would lock up the clutch with 12volts and rotate the compressor to get the oil moved along before you vacuum it down on the same port you just put the oil into. Just don't want to suck it out. Also a good idea so that a slug of oil is not trying to be compressed on initial compressor start up after charging.

IF you're still using old lines, condenser, evaporator, and now 134a I would use the ester oil vs the PAG oil due to residual mineral oil in the old components from R12 use. Oh, I see you changed the condenser and evaporator it appears, but still old hoses. I would still use the ester oil.
