Watched a documentary (sort of) on the weekend about "The Band" and it had a bunch of archival images and footage and I couldn't help but notice that Levon had a c3 in the pictures. Did a little searching and found some of the pictures
Levon Helm bought himself a Corvette rag top after royalties from The Band's album started pouring in. He totaled it by 1970. This was the car he nearly ran over the cops with while checking up on Dominique and Richard's accident in Robbie's 1967 GT Mustang convertible.....

Wow! My college kid would move heaven and earth (and most definitely sell his project ‘91 Ford F250) for Merle Haggard’s Corvette! He’s a hardcore fan, and plays and sings his songs on his guitar.
. While possibly never having a driver’s license, he and bassist Noel Redding (he himself a guitarist who would later form Fat Mattress) were in Cleveland and decided to shop for a car. Jimi picked up an International Blue 1968 Corvette from Blaushild Chevrolet. However, according to reports from those around him, Jimi wasn’t the best driver and crashed the Vette. According to drummer Mitch Mitchell:
One Saturday night we went to see Cream and had a party back at the house. The party didn’t break up until 5 am and at 7 am I got to sleep. I’d heard Jimi’s voice, ‘Guess what, I’ve just crashed my car.’ I thought I’d dreamed that and went back to sleep. Several hours later, I discovered that it was true.

Ralph, that reg is for the '69 coupe Jimi's pictured in above. A quick check of the '69 registry doesn't show it listed. Either wrecked long ago or still hidden away in someone's garage who probably doesn't know it's history.
