I remember seeing a red 67 big block roadster with a white top that was on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. It was said to belong to Roy Orbison and, as I recall, it was there on loan from Roy's family. I'm pretty sure this was in the 90's.
While I agree, Farrah's car looks a little over the top when viewed today, you really need to look at it in the correct context of time. It was built at the height of the customization era and, in that period, it was considered pretty cool, as were most customs back then.

No, not at all, but why would you cheapen the look of a really nice 70 vette with monza lights ? Do you think it looks better ? Maybe like Chevrolet putting a Vega steering wheel in 76's ?? Removing the chrome bumpers makes it even worse. I get it, to each his own but JEEEEEEZ !!!
