Moroso U-Joint Girdles
Hi everyone
I want to replace the straps of my driveshaft U-joints with stronger ones (I think an other name is 'girdles').
Will this type of heavy duty strap fit my 1330 Spicer driveshaft U-joints?

Hi Novusuhu, a couple of thoughts:
PS: as suggested in the other thread: remove the caps that 'don't fit' and see if you have a needle sitting in the end of the cap. These caps tend to come off when you don't want them to. When you have them right and slip them on, tape the cap to the shaft and remove it only when you're ready to slip the joint into the yoke.
- I've read your other thread on the subject and see what you're trying to do here - if these fit, it will make up for the modifications you made on the yoke 'tongues'.
- Looks to me like this might solve your problem, but as suggested, I would pm GTR1999 - explain what you did, with pictures, and ask his advice. He's as well known on the forum for diffs, etc. as Lars is for timing, etc.
- We've all been there and your story is a good reminder for us all. When something doesn't fit quite right, check out all possibilities, check with forum members, etc. before making any modifications to 'force' something to fit. This isn't a shot at you at all! We've all done stuff like this and I appreciate the reminder.
- I hope your solution works for you - I think there's a good chance.
