Evil Kermit,part 2

Well,it's slowly coming together. I bought this 75 last summer, cars been in a garage since 1978 with 12,000 original miles. My plan was to spend the money, whatever the price and find the perfect original 1980,that didn't exactly go as planned. I've always liked 74/75 convertibles and when this popped up had to check it out. Just because a cars been parked in a garage forever and with low miles means absolutely nothing. This cars had everything you can imagine drug down the side of it,that's a shame considering the paint looks really nice, except all the scabs and bruises. Currently have the interior out for a thorough cleaning. Need to replace the heater core and put an alarm in the car before it goes back together. I originally planned on replacing the top with black but the soft top is perfect and makes no sense to replace an original OEM top, might get an extra frame and got from there.

Just be cautious about lowering the rear too much. It will increase the bumpsteer of the suspension. You want the half shafts pointed down toward the wheels. If it becomes a problem for you that you notice while driving, it can be corrected by moving the differential up in the frame, but its a PITA. I moved mine upward about 5/8". Vansteel I think makes new Delrin bushings that moves the whole diff crossmember up, but they are harder than the factory rubber units and could result in more gear noise. I fabricated poly bushings years ago long before Vansteel offered theirs.
