Amen. That's my priority, a "clean" birdcage and frame. mechanical defects any day. I have actually been a mechanic for 6 years, so that suits me well. I can't cope frame/birdcage rust. That is why i am choosing this one. The small things there are. is copeable. An evening with a steel brush, rust off, and some primer goes a long way.
And thanks, it sounds like i am making a good choice. Can't wait to pick it up on Thursday!

rust off? phosphoric acid treatment? euro version of naval jelly? and as much as we like to scream run away, we like it better when we can say "That car doesn't suck! Buy it or tell us where it is." cuz we get far less chances to look at a really good car. it is easy to find the rusty pieces of doodoo...

I guess it's like that, you remove the dirt, with a steel brush, use rust converter, and it dissolves the rust, and after 24 hours, you can paint over it. Never used it tough, sounds a bit too good to be true in my ears, but you never know, it is 2022 after all.
That sentence made my day, haha. I am 95% sure i am buying it. Need to see it with my own eyes. Is it really that good of an example? 😊

As a quick comparison this PC is for sale close to me. (If the link works) The car you are looking to buy appears to be much better condition.

Not that it matters, but is that paint on the trim tag?

Also check the date on the tires - they may look very new but if they are old you won't want to drive on them very much.
Where in Denmark are you? And where in Norway id the car? I guess you will be taking a ferry with your trailer! Take pictures of the trip.
My wife is from Als.

Got a whole checklist, to i can remember it all. This is now added to it.

Small world! :-)

I am located in the middle of Jutland, in Skive. Taking the ferry from Hirtshals (2 Hour Drive) and the car is one hour from Kristiansand. So it almost couln't be easier :-) Cheaper than traveling to Sweden to pick one up.

Will take pictures. I am thinking about creating an Instagram profile for it.

Merely curious if it’s overspray from a repair.

paint looks fresh

how much if the stock exhaust is in place? (If that’s something your going to need for the plating process, ie emissions test)

before it’s fired up check the coolant overflow tank for any scum floating in the top. Possible contamination

use a screwdriver and poke at the rad cradle, rust can be covered up there with tick grease.

look between the a/c condenser and the radiation for leaves and signs of a leak. Black paint hides slot of sins.

Double check the tire date codes as somebody else mentioned.

seat belts retract correctly?

and recent drive shaft or u joint work?

brakes?

any play in the steering? Car off, steering unlocked, much movement in the wheel before tires move?

diff leaks?

can you remove the trim on top of the inside windshield? 3 screws (4?), looks for signs of rust UNDER the stainless t top trim.

looks like a nice car.

I know the feeling.
Just wait until you find the car is just as nice as the seller is representing it and your insides start twisting as you mutter those words, “Would you take $$$”?

OP, you state its a PC replica. According to the VIN, its the real deal. See the "9"?
Just wanted to point that out.
