71 Belt replacement
respective pulley grooves on the crankshaft and PS pump but getting both belts on the water pump pulley and getting the WP
pulley back on is not being kind to me.
Put myself in a timeout last night. Have coffee in me so heading back out to wrestle with it some more.
The new belts seem top be good quality. The V-Belt guys looks to be a winner for under $6 per belt. Less than $24 for 4 belts and a few $$ for shipping kept it under $30.
Annoying thing is V-Belt guys use D&D Power drive belts and they arrive in no frills packaging.
Ordered per GM part number but belts arrive all in 1 bag with no ID other than the D&D part number.
So you have to cross reference but couldn't find a X-reference chart so had to google each D&D part number and match by size, kind of a pain.
The trick was to get one bolt started in the water pump pulley and then put a ¾" socket on the crankshaft and manually turn to feed the belt and turn the pulley.
Eventually I was able to get all 4 blots started, then just alternate tightening the bolts until Pulley was fully on the shaft.
Thanks again to @67:72 and @dan1495 and all for the help
