T Top Questions
First off we are talking 1968. They have been disassembled, painted and are ready to go back together. The trim has been polished and I have the new seal kit from Zip.
The curvy seal has more pins than holes in the top, most in the wrong place, The tops have 15 holes and the seal have 19 pins. To my understanding, there are no 15 pin seals, and what I have is all there is unless you go for a one piece seal.
My plan is to move the pins in the seals rather than drill a bunch of holes in the tops. The seals will be glued down anyway.
One thing I am not clear on is whether or, not there should be any sort of sealer under the outboard molding that rivets to the top. I was thinking super weather strip adhesive because it can be fairly thin so that the molding will fit tight up against the top but, would like to know what others have done.

The above is a pretty good write up, but it does not deal with installing the moldings or, the little corner wedge thingy. The AIM shows some kind of sealer behind it- I used 3M strip caulk which should be fine. The seals look different than what I got from Zip so, that does not help much.
Advice, comments, criticism all welcome Also, any links to good info or, videos not made by some dude in his garage with terrible music and a shaky camera and doing lots of pointing are appreciated.
I never liked t tops and now, I am starting to really hate them. This is not my car, just working on it. I prefer metal cars but, that is just me.
