I just got a new listing alert today on this 4-speed LT-1. It’s listed for over $50k ($52.9k), which seems high to me. But, I wanted to see if it’s worth pursuing (the ad claims the engine is rare), and so am seeking feedback, It looks as if the shifter **** has been replaced, and there are no photos of the tach. It says it’s been owned by a long term owner, which is a plus for me.

unless it is the ZR-1 it’s not rare . My opinion way to high and the story does not sound right .. why would the original owner still have the car titled in his name , when he sold it 25 years ago 🤫🤫 also stay away from dealerships!! Very overpriced. Plenty of great cars on this forum and honestly people.. just be patient

That's a 1972 LT-1 WITH AC!! Very rare car, only made the LT-1 with A/C in '72, and a couple hundred were ever made. From 70-72 there were only ever 4K LT-1's made. While these cars tend not to pull BB money, they do pull respectable numbers, especially original unmolested examples. The car has been resprayed, but looks to be the correct 979 code Blue. I'd definitely give it a closer look, as these A/C LT-1 cars are a rarity.
Just a quick look missing items Radio, Smog Pump and related hardware, A/C Belt missing most likely inop, Water Pump, Starter, Evap System Hoses,TCS solenoid and Wiring, Radiator Cap, 2 Inch Exhaust should be 2 1/2 inch, Missing Center exhaust support at Transmission, Exhaust tips Stainless Steel, Fan for Rad, Coil, Valve Covers installed on wrong sides, Upper Rad Hose, Oil Fill Cap, Hose Connection above A/C box not original, Spare tire carrier heavy damage and heavy under coating.
This is a #4 condition at best or about 25K plus if you do not have the skill to bring up to even a #2 condition. It would cost you 40K to 50K or more. Is the Engine, Transmission, Alternator, Carburetor, Distributor was born with if not it is worth less. The only thing at this point is if it is a true LT-1 with air there is it value one of about 242.

Agree......
keep looking, not a 22k mileage LT1. Also, too many items missing under the hood. No smog, TCS missing in addition to what already has been mentioned.
For starters, an Ad that is in ALL CAPS and 1 solid run-on paragraph has always been bad news in my experience.
And when their disclaimer for all the things they are NOT liable for is as long, if not longer than the original ad = Bad News.
