I have a 68 with the wiper override switch and want to replace the instrument bezel. Can anyone explain the difference between the bezel w/o override and the one with override?

hi Mike
68 instrument bezel is smooth face
bezel with out override is for early 68 like up to Dec 67 build
some have been seen on Jan 68 cars
why do you want to change out yours??
either way very expensive items without/ with override switch
thanks
grant
I have a new retro stereo to install, but the current bezel is for a CD player, which doesn't fit the retro type stereo (needs the **** holes). I am hoping the bezel is not too difficult to remove and replace. And yes, they are expensive!

They are the same size. You will be fine. My 68 bezel is on the shelf and i run a 69. I added a light to that slot for my power on light
I dont have the override light. Mine is blacked out
The original 68 non wiper override bezel just had a slightly raised block of metal there. How many of you know that I think that was going to be the location of the low fuel tell-tale. I have one of them in my parts collection, that I bought over the counter.
I think that the low fuel light is mentioned in the first version of the 68 sales brochure, along with the never production applied plastic gas tank. Lou.
