Sorry, should be able to figure this out myself but I can't make sense of the DOT stamp. Tried search thread and went to BF Goodrich site but am not finding the DOT tire date code information I'm looking for....so posting here to see if someone can help. Thank you in advance.
All four tires have the same stamp:
BF Goodrich T/A Radial
P255/60R15 102S M + S
DOT K 4 U T N X 5 1
Made in Mexico
there is also a E4 stamp in a circle followed by 026101 all inside of a oval stamp
No expert by any means and these things are confusing and at some point they changed the dating system. But if I had to guess the date is in the oval section so I am getting the 261st day of the year of 2001.
Again someone smarter will come along but that’s a start. Ike
if 2000 and newer those tires were made in the 61st week of 2001. highly unlikely unless it was an unuasually long year. or they could be the 10th week of 1971, 81, or 91. i think in any case they are dangerous trash. post a pic of the number. you are possibly reading it wrong. if not, you need to buy tires before you go any farther than across the driveway.

interpon, it does look like I am missing the week (2 digits) and the year (2 digits), per your attachment. Sure makes trying to figure out the date code a bit of a trick.
ok they are not a zillion years old. post pic of whole tire. a lot of people on here know which BF Goodrich model was made from when to when. they look at a pic of somebodies new car and tell them the tires are 15 to 20 years old just by the name on the raised white letters.
Did some more digging, and will add a couple of photos too.
Got pretty excited seeing a group of 5-digits thinking that might be the Julian date (3 digits) and the year (2 digits). Three out of the four tires would fall into about the age range that I would have expected and those were September 2, 2017 (1 tire) 2018 (2 tires) and then the unexpected one which was 24522 or September 2, 2022 (1 tire) so about as fast as I was optimistic the air deflated out of the balloon when I saw 24522 on one of the tires.
I know there are a lot of unhappy people on here regarding the browning of BF Goodrich T/A Radial tires raised white lettering. I'm one of the lucky ones. The raised white letters are white and they have always remained that way.
The first two lines are exactly the same on all four tires. The third row of numbers (5 digits) read: 24517 24518 24522 24518
maybe this…
look on other side you may have blackwalls out
The inner tire sidewall does display DOT information as well, but typically not the tire manufacture date.
interpon....THAT is it. Figured it out from the link you attached. Found another stamp code 3319 on all four tires in the same location. Week 33 of 2019!
SUCCESS! You guys are the greatest. Thanks everyone for the help.
Just for grins before I replace them. How old are my tires?
Bought a 1979 'Vette barn find. It was last registered in 1990. The rotten tires have the code DOT BEVE XM1032. BF Goodrich Radial T/A P235/60-15
I can't find a site for tires with the 1032 date. Yes, I triple checked the tires for that code. They are so rotten that I'm afraid to drive it to the tire store.
Don't worry. I'll remove the wheels and have new tire installed on the dismounted wheels. Just for grins, can anyone determine the date?
10th week of 32nd year can't be correct, also 103rd week of 2nd year can't be correct. Maybe 3rd week of 1982? The car has 29,245 original miles.
Could these be original tires?

Yep that's what I got from it. 261 of 01.
I figure if in doubt replace the tire.

Tires made before 2000 only had a 3 digit date code
