The vacuum tank for my '71 has a small crack in it that leaks when it's submerged in water and air is blown into the tank. It appears that some other cracks might be also be developing.
To seal them all up, can I use JB Weld or should I break out the MIG?
This novice thinks the tank is steel and not aluminum, can somebody verify this for me too? I don't want to try welding aluminum...

Pretty sure it's steel. Can you put a magnet to it?
