On my ‘72 I noticed when I turn slowly I hear what sounds like the tires are rubbing though I know they aren’t. My first guess was maybe uv joints? It wouldn’t always do it taking off straight from a stop light but would when turning slowly every time. Any ideas on what I should be looking at? Sounds like it’s coming from the rear.

When was the rear end gear lube and posi fluid last changed? Change that out, use a 4 Oz bottle of GM posi lube, then do some figure 8's to work it into the clutches.

will do. I’m also reading about a snubber bushing that sounds like my symptoms.

I have always used 80/90 weight gear lube and one bottle of the posi lube.. I have over 300,000 miles on my original 65 rear end with no issues.
Some use 85/140, some use 2 bottles posi lube.
Snubber bushing is a possibility but I would start with this. May solve your issue and just good proactive maintenance in any event.
