Thanks for your valuable input Grantstigers & C6-CYa. After much thought, I have decided to switch to the P225/70s from the P245/60s I ordered initially. The previous owner's restoration on this car was bone stock, so the P225s will look much more like the original tires, with a bit added width. Also, I really don't want to worry about rubbing issues all the time and given that I have the 7" rims (not the 8"), 245/60s may be pushing the outer limits of this rim.

Thanks everyone for your input. The members on this forum are amazing and I look forward to getting your thoughts on other upgrades/repairs down the road. I'm very fortunate that the cosmetic condition of the car is so good, but there has been very little maintenance done on it in for over 20 years, so I'm going to be very busy:-)

Pics soon...

I think you've made the right choice on your fantastic looking C3. All my other newer vehicles have wide tires and rims, I'm a big fan of that look, but on my Vette the stock look nails it. The 225s sit perfectly on the rims and the 70 profile fills the wheelwells without interference. As you can see in the pic below I don't need anything wider.

Looking forward to seeing more pics of yours.

Tires are finally installed and I couldn't be happier. The 225/70 R15s are perfect - they look great in the wheel wells and they also give you a wider stance than stock. The Radial T/As give it a bit sportier look, but with that said, I also like the classic red line tires almost as much. Can't go wrong with either one:-)

Up next - solving the consistent overheating that I'm experiencing from the 427. I will start a new thread next week. Need some time now to just enjoy the car - even if that requires driving it in the early evening when it's cooler - LOL.
