Default Interior Floor pans - what do you think?
Hey all,

Starting on the interior restoration on my 1981. Pulled the old nasty smelling carpet out dreading that I might find a bunch of rust but looks like I dodged a bullet. I can see the floor plan rubber plugs are missing but given the condition of the floor pans, what would you do here, if anything, while I have this all out? Thanks!

Personally I'd clean it up with a wire brush and hit it with some Por15.

Looks good enough to use some rust preventor like Por 15.

Do you have to get it down to bare metal for Por-15 to be effective?

I wouldn’t do anything to it other than clean it, and a few squares of sound deadener strategically placed.
i would also be sure heater core not leaking while you are there 😂
