Default Mickey Thompsons

Hello All,
I soon need to replace my 8 year old BF Goodrich tires on my 72 and would possibly like to go with Mickey Thompson white letters. Anyone out there running Mickey Thompson tires and if so what size? Pics would be great!!! Would love to see what they look like mounted. Many Thanks

I am, love them!
215/70/15 all around. I bought a pair of 295/50/15's for the rear but they were a little too big and touched the fenders on my '65. You won't have that problem with a C3.

255/60/15 all around. In 78 if you ordered the 255/60s the lip of the front fender was trimmed at the factory to allow turning room for the wider tire.

Thanks Guys. Looks like Mickeys are available in 225-70-15 which is the same size as the BFG's I have now. Any more tire size recommendations and pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Mickey's and Cooper's are made in the same factory using the same rubber compound and construction. The tread pattern is slightly different and of course the labelling.
Anyway, I run 255/60- 15's all around on my 77. Have for many years

Have their drag radials which I love but am looking to put st tires on it now.
Like the script at least, not big goofy letters. Never really heard complaints about M/T in general they have been around forever same with cooper
Remember as a kid in the 70s out babysitter had a 69 SS Chevelle with coopers on them.

I have 235 60 15s for the front. Bought drag radials and rubber white letters for the MT drag radials on the back. 295 55 15s in the back. Trying to go full retro with the white letters and the 50 series radial tires are a bit too short.

245-60 15's all the way around on my 72. No issues after 1000 miles.
Little hard to steer with no PS
The white letter DO NOT turn brown.

A couple of pics on dragline wheels. I like them. Still haven’t installed the white rubber letters on the drag radials.

235 60 R15 on rallies, all four corners. Run 28-30 psi. A little stiff and thumpy. I think they flat spot when they sit for two weeks. Pretty, though.

Thanks guys. I love the Mickeys. I assume the 225/70/15 will work since that is the same size as the BFG's I currently have? I assume the same size will work but just wanted to make absolutely sure. Don't want to order them and then have to return. Dumb question I know.....

STeve your tire pressure is a little light, try to run at least 32...think they call for more.
Run no less than 32-34 with thier dragiradials it does make a difference. Radials shouldnt flat spot very easily
Let my D/R sit 2 yrs even with less than 100 mi they are probably junk and cant be 'driven out"
