Hello All, on Saturday I attended a car show sponsored by a local car club that's been around for 30+ yrs. Although not a large show there were some VERY nice examples, including some outstanding late '60's, early 70's Mopars, GTX, Dart GTS, Roadrunners, an early '70's Chrysler 300 Convertible. a Dodge Monaco 2-dr. w/ 440. Not many Corvettes, a '69 Vert, 427 tri-power, '78 L-82, couple newer ones, I was lucky enough to bring home a Top-25 award for my '78. Very pleased and surprised. Did'nt feel that well that morning and damn-near did'nt go, glad I did! Regards, LowSporty

Congrats brother....very nice trophy...
About 20 years ago I went to a show I was pre-registered for 75 miles away on a day I didn't feel that great.
Just after I got judged the heavens opened up & it rained for about an hour.
I was in a C3 only class with about 10 others & it wasn't looking good....lots of nice Vettes.
I won 1st place & the streets were bone dry for that happy 75 mile ride home....man was I glad I went!......

Yes! The Gods were smiling on you that day! You are to be commended for keeping your '76 all these years! I kept my mint '66 Bel-Air 2-door Sedan/Post for 25 yrs. but sold it after I was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 so my wife would'nt have to deal with it if I did'nt make it! Thanks, LowSporty Thanks, LowSporty

Glad you made it....wow.. My issue is only arthritis. I can deal with that compared to any cancer.
It's just that 98" wheelbase tells me sometimes that I should of bought '76 Coupe Deville new...
Dan, I know what you mean! I had a '73 Corvette in the early 80's when I was in my mid-20's, and I don't recall these C-3 Vette's being that hard to get into. Not Now! Yeah, luckily I did'nt need surgery, but I went through 13 weeks of chemo, then 7 weeks of radiation, basically they poison you, pure hell. Thanks for asking, LowSporty
Congratulations, you deserve some go times. It’s also great for your health, that’s of the best looking looking trophies I’ve ever seen. I know every time you look at that trophy it brings you too a good place.

It’s also nice to hear how some of you have overcome your health challenges. A positive attitude, a feeling of meaning of life, and having something to look forward to are all important for a healthy mindset. This in turn can have a profound effect on health. Your attitudes are worthy of emulation.
