Where does the Distributor Ground Strap go?

Where does the Distributor Ground Strap go?

I had a couple of electrical shorts in my '78. I noticed there is supposed to be a ground strap from the distributor to the housing cover with a wing nut. But I don't have one. Can anyone enlighten me maybe with pics of where I am to connect it and where to buy one?

On my '80 the strap goes from the ignition shield to a valve cover screw.

Mine went to a stud on the firewall. I believe this is original. Must be another ground wire attached to the same stud.

valve cover bolt for 79. @Duke94 i think yours should too? painted blue from engine.. mine was painted silver overspray.. no clue why that would be that way..unless they put wire on valve cover first then painted... and the l82 they covered valve cover.. you can see the copper where masked?
