Default Is something missing.

Since I am under the car trying to get radiator core support out, I noticed that there are a couple wires coming off my headlights on each side. On one side something is plugged into the socket but not on the other. Can someone tell me if something is missing on the one side and if so what?

Driver’s side has what looks like some type of jumper

passenger side has nothing plugged in

Those appear to be for the headlight switches that engage when the over-center mechanism reaches full travel.

Ditto, it’s the switch for the “headlamp door up” light. There are two, one on the left side and one on the right side. Reproductions are available from corvette parts retailers.

That's what's left of the other switch

They are plastic and super fragile after whatever number of years, so many are broken it's almost hard to believe when one isn't. Luckily when they break the warning light on the dash stays off rather than coming on
