There is a '74 for sale, local, that needs TLC but doesn't have an A/C compressor. I'm willing to buy the parts but not if the car came from the factory without A/C.
Looks like the evaporator box in the photo you provided. So it looks like your car originally came with air-con.
Does the switch on the console have a max air and air settings? Usually these guys will pull out the compressor and condenser along with hoses and lines. But changing the switch and evaporator box is seldom done.
A 74 would have come with the VIR system which you would want to upgrade anyway.
You will need some parts but perhaps not everything.
I ran a thread awhile back "73-E77 Air-Con upgrade"
I have no clue how to post a link but a quick google search should bring it up. Should give you a very good idea what you will need. In addition to flushing, cleaning and pressure testing that evaporator.
And, is that a throttle return spring run to the Alternator bracket? And I have to comment on that fuel line. Looks like a fire waiting to happen.
Your engine bay looks like you could spend a bit of time sorting things out. Perhaps if you index that distributor correctly you could reconnect the vacuum advance?
I would focus on all the visible Bubba work in the engine bay, as stated horrible fuel line setup, strange throttle return spring, loose wires, spark plug wires horribly routed, small cheap Holley 600 carb, etc. I would be concerned regarding the condition of drivetrain, suspension, and brakes also. You can see the power and ground wire for the AC compressor laying by the right side hood latch.
worst is that fuel lins, as 4-vettes posted. looks like the fan blades barely miss hitting it. i believe lars has instructions for creating a correct one out of blank steel fuel-brake line.
Hagerty value is not real world value. I'd say to get 15K a '74 would need to be in excellent condition, couldn't imagine anyone paying 30 grand for any rubber bumper car unless it was some super duper condition collector's edition that was never driven.
