Can't seem to find this exact information. I googled it, but can only find generalities of the various colors / engine / trans options, but not the actual productions numbers of the combined specifics.
Looking for how many 1972 Coupe, 350, 4 speed, Steel Cities Gray, Black interior were actually made.
Just make up a number if it matters to you. No one can dispute it because no records exist to debunk it. Just don’t try to use that imaginary number as a sales gimmick if you plan on flipping the car. That would be dishonest and perhaps bring some bad karma back on you. 👍🏻
I’ve read similar threads on this subject where individuals schooled in statistics and probability have surmised that low option cars are more likely to be fewer in numbers because most original buyers of vettes had cash and didn’t want a stripped bare bones car. However there must have been buyers who only wanted a high HP engine and no options. Then there must’ve been thrifty buyers who just bought the base cars to get the lowest price.
We see threads like this fairly often. Is it that you wish to brag that your specific combination is rare or something?
if it is truly rare that usually means it was unpopular in the day.
How is that good?
you can make a statistical extrapolation but it will not get you exact numbers, only ballpark with a significant error factor. even if the data is available then the errors in the database would skew the totals away from exact.
in '72 most cars were coupes, around half were 4 speed, most were black interior as it was available with all color options, and most were 350 engine. the only near rare thing you have is the color, it is a (2346/27004) = 8.7% of '72 cars has that color, and around half of the 2346 gray cars were 4-speeds.
throw out the convertibles ( 25%) , non black interiors, and the big blocks ( 15% ).. = somewhere around 750 total.

I can do that with my high options Corvettes & it says there were none made.
The more options, the greater the error factor. plus factor in people's mindset in 1972 in what was ordered and why.. further increasing the error factor. even factor in today where options are bundled and you cannot buy one option without buying in another. Maybe that's somewhat what the factory did back then when they were building cars not only with special orders, but also with common options to fill dealers lots.
