Assuming you need the battery end......I used one of these years ago (5? 10?) and it is still in use ... easy peasy lemon squeezy .... doesn't rust, bust, or collect dust....works fine, lasts a long time, drains to the bilge.... but anyway.....
You can get either the side terminal type or the top terminal type. About 9" long as mentioned in link.
About 6-10 inches. They put the wrong battery in the car and it is facing the wrong way and they cut down the cable to fit it.

Where that one end is a female connector for a side post end. then you could adapt or cut the top-post end off and install a side-post end. Not ideal but ???
I know there are 2g butt crimp connectors available that would more or less do what that thing I posted above does also

Does anybody know what gauge wire the 1978 uses.?
I am installing an LT1 into it and had to move the engine forward to clear my hydraulic clutch. I figured I may as well replace the cable and make it 'RED' at the same time.
