Default '78 seat-belts

Just curious as to what you folks opinion would be on trusting the effectiveness of the original seat belts on a 73,000 mile '78. Pretty sure it was garage-kept so can we rule out UV degradation?

Pics are attached and are of the drivers side, which obviously would receive the most wear. First is lap-belt, second is lap and buckle, third is upper retractor two views

What say you, and Regards, LowSporty

Yes, they look great! I wish those on my 130,000 mile '78 looked quite as nice, but I still trust mine.😱

Unless they are torn along the edges so that the threads have apart there is nothing wrong with them.

Thanks Guys! I thought I remembered reading somewhere in the past that seatbelts over a certain age [10-15 yrs.] and certainly after a crash [just like a motorcycle helmut] be replaced. Aside from being lightly soiled, mine work perfectly, no herky-jerky action, getting stuck, etc. Thanks and Regards, LowSporty

My 78 white/red have the OE belts and probably has a least 140K+ on the clock and are still trustworthy with an added after market belt extender for a comfort fit..
