On a friend's 76 corvette. Someone else removed his hood. Now that person has disappeared. And he is in the process of reinstalling his hood. He asks me, what are these threaded holes for? I have a 77 which is not the same. So I told him I Would ask on here.

76-7 was transition yearfor hood latches. boughtna 77 hood for my 75. then i saw latch diff. then i bought set of ebay 77 latches. then i realize nothing fits from 76 to 77. would take major glass work to retrofit either latch-striker to the other year car or hood. so i'm gonna use pins until i get the right hood. (they also never stick shut!)
