Has anyone used this, and if so what were your impressions? Considering spending gift card money on this. I definitely need to do something about heat in the interior of my car. Ceramic coating my headers helped, but not as much as i would have liked. My gift card is to Zip, but if the majority here has a single better suggestion, ill definitely give it a look.

All the original heat mitigation measures from the factory worked great. Unfortunately many are lost during modifications. Biggest offenders are adding dual exhaust, loss of horse collar over transmission, insulation gaps on the firewall, deletion of heat shields, heat seepage form heater box. If the under-carpet insulation is compromised, the product you’re looking at would help. But Reflectix is much cheaper; get a big roll and use it everywhere. The racing parts suppliers have heat shields that clamp to the top of exhaust pipes; excellent for dual exhaust. Pipe insulation if the horse collar is missing. Stick-on high temp stuff on the outside of the AC box adjacent to headers. In-line valve or hose clamps for heater hoses.

I ordered the Flatline barrier kit for the rear storage area on my car. Can't tell you how disappointed I was. After spending another 80 bucks on sound insulation I purchased locally, I finally had enough to actually cover the rear storage area. I found the fitment was incredibly poor, leaving large gaps and no material at all for the back wall. The stuff I bought locally was far superior, but I had to cut it myself.
Wish I never wasted my money on this garbage.

i even added a rare 80 passenger heat shield on my 79..gm must have agreed too much heat.
it would be great to have heat shield following header tubes!
the best is heat shields and heat wrap. I think shielding heat before hitting vehicle makes sense
