On top of the frame rail between the frame and body.

Its a 1980 that was rebuilt in 1986 utilizing a lot of parts during the build from other years (the AV coded glass). It also has the 350 small black v8, 1983.
Frame was blessed as being in very good shape (california car, no rust or damage).
Runs, drives, shifts well. No more dieseling after air filter was replaced. Carburetor is brand new and timing seems to be good as well.
Now the problems....
Power steering box needs rebuild and shaft bracket needs replaced.
bake lines are leaking at calipers (Recommended full caliper and brake line replacement)
That alone is near 10k in parts and labor..
Then it was recommended to do a full suspension rebuilt front and back. The tires had too much play in them, bushings were all very worn, cambered 2-3 degrees too much, car pulls to the left during accel). Bearings on two of the wheels gave a lot of play/movement in the wheels.
Motor mounts are not cracked but have a tremendous amount of wear and need replaced
fuel line has a long section of flexible tubbing that is starting to wear and needs to be completely replaced
Total of everything is near 25k...
Now I need to figure out if I want to keep this thing or not... wondering how much I could get for it.
Steering box rebuild, not expensive, contact Gary Ramadei, GTR1999.
Get some prices for the parts you need and most of the work, if you really need it, you can do yourself.
