Default Fuse box identification

So I own a 76 vette that someone has swapped over some 78 components so I want to figure out if this fuse box is from the 76 vette a 78 vette or after market

That’s definitely not from 76. Glass tube fuses were used through 77 at least.

I would say that fuse panel is from a 1979 or even later.
The 1978 still used glass fuses...
Photo below taken from the 1978 Corvette Electrical Troubleshooting Manual of the panel layout...

Agreed, that certainly isn't a 76 fuse panel.

I have the same pink wire plugged into the Receptacle Ignition Control port on my fuse box in my 1979 Corvette. Do you happen to know where the other end of this wire goes?
I have approx 10” of wire and a factory connector on the other end. For the life of me I can’t figure out where it goes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The car is still put away for the winter, but I will look at the wiring diagram tomorrow. I'd guess it's for some option. Power windows, rear defroster etc.

I have a fuse box similar to those on my '78 that I installed 40 years ago , and just recently the yellow wire ( lower right side / on firewall side ) broke. I have a loose wire that is the ground wire of my anti-theft horn. I am wondering they are supposed to be together- since I have an orange wire coming from the box going to the positive side of the horn. I would think that the yellow wire has power also.

Any thoughts ?

Looks like the yellow wires are hot all the time and the various anti-theft switches send the horn to ground.

I am thinking the same thing. I'll get my multimeter and check it , but the wiring harness I have is from a 79-82 car. Not sure which year and I'm sure they probably change a little between each year also.

It's always something.
Thank you.

On the diagram you sent me a few days ago, I noticed that the pink wire we were discussing has an extra lead that doesn’t appear to plug into anything. Do perhaps know what that extra lead is for? Thanks Josh
