I replaced the rear leaf spring rubber bushings on my 1980 5 years ago, and now they look just as bad as the original. Does anyone have a recommendation on what to replace these with, something that is going to last more than 5 years.
Had the exact same problem. Put in new rubber spring end bushings and in about 5 years were junk.
bought some nolathane bushes from Summit. Put them in but because they don't squish like rubber they raised my rear end. Pulled them back out and machined them down a bit. Back in again and they have been great for years.
