I am a long term two Corvette owner. One has power steering ('67) and the other ('72) is a manual steering car. I've rebuilt the manual box around 1990 when one of the bearings went bad on the way to work. Simplest box I've ever rebuilt.(out of about 100)
15 years later I put in a Borgeson kit. The car drives completely different and for the better.
I posted a thread covering everything Gary did when he rebuilt my steering box last year.
It is an interesting thread with many pictures.
It basically shows what Gary does above and beyond just rebuilding a steering box.
I wouldn’t send my box to anyone else.
