C3 glass color.
Anyone know about C3 Glass and what color tint they used for all the windows and the tops in 1978 and 1979?
the title says 1979, but it was a single snorkle air cleaner like the '78.
Vins match the engine, but the engine code says it's a Montecarlo engine.
The t tops( I have been told by most ) were changed because bronze mirrored t tops did not come on the '79 Vette. Ok, so why is every piece of glass in the car bronze tinted glass? Windshield, with a nice wide bronze tinted band across the top, door glass and rear also.
I looked but have not found any special models in "78 or '79 that came with bronze tinted glass. Can anybody head me in the correct direction to get some answers?

No Corvette ever came with bronze tinted glass. Corvette tint was the same green that was found on every other car in that era. Sounds like a modification by a previous owner. In 82, the Collector Edition came with bronze tinted glass tops, but they were only offered on the Collector Edition. All other 82's came with silver/gray tops when glass tops were ordered.
What exactly is stamped on the pad? It would help to know.
