For some reason I cannot get my IP lights to come on. My "brights" indicator works as well as my "Brake" light indicator when the parking brake is engaged. Turn signals - have issues as well.
I have 2 different headlight switches that I have tested and I even went to Oreily's to test a NEW switch, and I do not see any continuity between RED 12v terminal and DK GRN dash light terminal. What am I missing? I've tried with switch pulled out to position 1 and 2 and turned CW, CCW and to Dome Light position.
If you read enough on the Forum, there are a number of instances where out of the box headlight switches Do Not Work. I think when Wilcox Was in business, they would test their switches prior to sending to a customer. The turn signals lights go through the switch/ board in the steering column, at least on a 73 year car.
There are 2 +12vdc feeds to the headlight switch.
Check your TAIL fuse, it supplies voltage to that portion of the headlight switch.
This may also explain why you have no turn signals either.
The only relationship between the courtesy circuit and headlight switch is the ground strap at the headlight switch, that is the common ground path for that circuit (white wire)...
