Default Help needed with decoding block stamp

Hi all, this is the block stamp from the motor currently in my '69 big block Vette:

I know it's not the original block or even a Corvette motor, but I'd still like to figure out the information from the stamp if possible.

I tried a few of the Chevy stamp decoding sites but came up empty..
Any help greatly appreciated!

Big block?

I would guess it's an ED suffix, with a 7 in the beginning of the vin derivative, so 1967. An A after the 7 so Atlanta assembly plant for the car. From that it shows to be from 1967 Chevelle with manual trans, a 396 4bbl rated at 325 hp.

Yes, it's a big block and the PO told me it was a 396 so that lines up.

Thanks for the explanation, wondering if you can also make sense of the assembly plant data? To me the first part reads TII then C or G, then 3. T would be the plant code thent the next two pairs of characters should be the assembly month and day respectively, so how does 'II' then 'C3' or 'G3' fit in with that?

Tonawanda engine plant, the II is for eleventh month and the 03(not C3) for the day of the month. So engine was built on November 3.
