I have a 71 C3 and am looking for a complete all wheel disc brake conversion kit
so far jegs is the only site I’ve found that has a complete kit wondering if someone out there has any knowledge of another source thanks to all 👌😎
I checked with them and they have the parts but not all in one kit I’d have to make sure I have everything just would like one kit Jrgs has one but I’ve heard a couple different things about them so not sure

That's a very broad question. What's wrong with the system that's currently on your car?

the brakes on it won’t stop the car I haven’t had a chance to really tear into it but being 50+ years old I think it’s going to be better to replace them with new parts plus it’s been sitting for about 10 years

How about a link to what you are looking at from Jegs so we have a better idea of what you are looking for?

we seem to be going in circles. You dont know what's wrong with the stock system but want to upgrade so I suggested Wilwood. Order their caliper and rotor kit and their master cylinder, thats an upgrade.
Others have mentioned and I'll repeat, the stock system on our cars is pretty damn good, even by today's standards. I too would like to suggest to find what's wrong with your stock setup rather than just throwing money at something that could be a fairly minor problem. As others have asked, what problems are you experiencing? Do some research on the forum here and you'll find more help than you could ever imagine. I'd bet we could get the stock brakes working better than you ever imagined.
Sounds like a very good idea. The brakes on these cars when working properly have no issues locking up all 4 and sliding even with wide sticky tires. And yet provide fairly good feel. These cars came with truly great brakes for there time.
I’m going to take your advice and look further into the existing system and see if it’s worth fixing I appreciate everyone’s input thx again aloha
An excellent "second thought".
I don't have Wilwood and I don't want Wilwood. I have read enough issues on this forum about converting to these that it is something most of us don't want to get involved in.
My two cents worth is to:
Stick with the Delco style, correct year Master cyl / calipers and everything will bolt up / perform like it was intended. From past experience, just because a catalog or web site says: Fits All Vettes '68 - '82 is NOT entirely true.
Keep all your old cores until the job is done to compare fitment.
Some box stores may not sell better quality and proper fit calipers (Delco knockoffs) than others. Use caution in selection.
And last but certainly not least, because this will be a big job for you, I recommend investing in a Motive Pressure Bleeder kit.
(and a 55 gal drum of DOT3)
your tires are the weakest link in the stock system if its rebuilt correctly and the brakes on 65-82 cars are more then enough for street driving and track days
