Would depend allot on the value, condition and originality of the car prior to a color change, could hurt, could help, also depends on the quality of the color change... a high end color change is allot of work to do it right, are you looking to improve the value of the car or the esthetics of the car.

If it's an NCRS Flight car - yes, If it a beat rubber bumper car with a truck motor and aftermarket seats = no.

Resto mods bring money - color does not matter, unless it is horrific / out of vogue.

Browns and greens tend to have a smaller audience. I like the greens of most years, just a few I think were trendy and don't go / do well today.

It's your car make it what you want / enjoy, don't worry about money - just drive it.

It will only hurt the value if you paint it Red.
There are already 10,000 too many Red Corvettes.

Ahhh, Greg! But my car came factory Red. And I really like it red! Perhaps I should paint it a different color to improve it's value???
No, that's not going to happen. I like it red.

A thread came up here about 12 years ago regarding that 1 of 1, 1977 Code 41 Chartreuse Corvette, and why nobody seemed to know where it was after all these years. I think one member nailed it when he said, "It's still out there ....probably painted red".
