No.....76 was a darker orange, called Flame Orange.....the Code 66 is one year only....77 and is simply called Orange.. I also had those YJ8 aluminum wheels on mine for awhile, I really like them. But,.....the 17 wheels allowed me to go with modern, soft rubber. Made a HUGE difference in handling.

Good looking car! I am going to go with bigger wheels too - what width wheel did you go with? and what tire size is that?

I still have these in my cupboard to put on some day just in case.

Bought at Wheels for Less ....this is copy and paste off the order reciept.
..
TW-VN5157861 Torq Thrust II 17x8 5x4.75 Corvette Wheel and Tire Package Set of Four
Tire Option: 255/50R17 Nitto NT555 G2 BW - N211-230 - 27.1" Height - 10.1" Width - $180.00 each $1,660.00 total

I chose to get all four wheels the same size, but they have wider wheels for rear. I used these on my 77, and going to use them on my 69 big block.

Man, those sidewalls look taller than 50's. I think the stock wheels are 8" wide - I was thinking about trying 9" wide wheels on the front but keeping the back spacing the same - the current tires sit about 1" inside the fender well so I think this would work ok and not stick out too much. back and forth about 10" on the back - will get the parking brake bracket moved while rebuilding the trailing arm so I can go wider if I decide.
