Nice collection of paperwork as well the vehicle! Congratulations. Your VIN is close to mine...9041 a November 10th build date.
So your power train is a unique combination, an L48 and M20 four-speed. The four speed is the Saginaw Muncie used only in 78 and partially in 79. I'll post a link to an article about the Four Speeds of 1978 as background. Also, your buildsheet shows a 12-15 estimated date of production...so you can compare this to your trim tag date code.

The shop manual you are looking for covers the Malibu, Camaro, Monte Carlo, Nova and Corvette. In the manual it will spell out specific things to the Corvette. You can find them on ebay, amazon, vendor sites. Don't for the AIM, and, don't get the Hayne's it's to generic.
Welcome to the hobby. When you need information on a how to fix something, or any Corvette question, I find using Google with your specific year, engine etc. get the best results. Most of the time you will be directed to a Forum Post. Get a bunch of the Corvette Vendor Catalogs, they have excellent parts illustrations, and each vendor may have different illustrations. Good Lick.
Annnnnnnd print a copy or two of each bit of info you need...it saves you the trouble of looking it up again. An inexpensive wireless printer works great. Put all your copies in a 3-ring binder that you can use in the garage.
