"Here Comes The Judge"
Certainly not along the lines of a "Pigmeat Markham", or a "Rowan & Martin" skit, or a "Sammy Davis Jr." shtick, not even a "Flip Wilson" sketch, but just a team of fun car show judges.
I don't normally judge, I coordinate (look for the colored "has been judged" dots, run the tabulation, go between the judges and promoter, etc. As I was perusing the show (only 40 cars, drizzling on and off), I noticed a C3 that caught my eye and stated to myself, "that's the best of show".
During tabulation time, that C3 got the highest score and was the BOS. These photos do not do the Vette any justice, it was really nice looking. Black & chrome, when done right, IMO, can't beat it.
There are worse ways to spend the day than looking at Corvettes!
I joined NCRS and our local chapter, and was a judge at our chapter event a few weeks go. They wanted me to get judging experience, so I volunteered to be an interior judge, and was paired with a master judge. I flight judged a ‘66 convertible, and did the new concours judging on a ‘66 and a ‘67 coupe.
Judging Corvettes, I think, makes one appreciate these iconic cars even more. They are magnificently designed, unlike anything else built at the time.
